Graduation from high school.  

 

Four years of successful experience in performing progressively responsible tasks related to data management and analysis. 

 

Specific technical training and expertise in a comprehensive range of assistive technology and two years experience in delivering assistive technology services.   

 

Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access and able to learn software with minimal training/supervision. 

 

Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of individuals with disabilities and their parents and families and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work with diverse constituencies.

 

Excellent oral and written communication skills (may be accomplished through the use of assistive technology.) 

 

 

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

 

This position is responsible for implementation of specific statewide assistive technology programs and services. Work is performed under the general supervision of executive staff of Missouri Assistive Technology and programmatic direction for programs and services is provided by the Missouri Assistive Technology Council.

 

Provide day-to-day client services for state level programs such as short-term device loan, equipment reuse, device demonstration, financial loan and other state financing activities including but not limited to:

 

·         Processing requests for assistance, application forms and other client contracts related to assistive technology programs.

·         Assisting in identifying assistive technology devices appropriate for client needs.

·         Tracking inventory, verifying product function and trouble-shooting malfunctions for those program that utilize an assistive device equipment pool.

·         Reviewing, analyzing and making initial recommendations for program assistance and ensuring process completion for individual applicants.

·         Maintaining and updating all internal data systems associated with the program.

·         Conducting follow-up to ensure compliance with federal and state data collection requirements and to provide program improvement information.

·         Working with assistive technology equipment vendors to ensure cost-effective equipment ordering and maintenance strategies. 

 

Manage a variety of data systems including but not limited to, internal budget systems, adaptive device inventory pools, financial loan data system, federal program and performance measure data systems.

 

Manage and implement procedures related to procurement, invoice payments and fiscal management for assistive technology devices, contracts and program administration. 

 

Analyze data to track and report on current program service status and to identify future program needs. 

 

Suggest and implement strategies for data collection and analysis.

 

Synthesize and validate program data to prepare mandatory assistive technology federal and state reports.

 

Produce and interpret queries and other reports necessary to maintain adequate inventory control, financial budget oversight and financial portfolio solvency. 

 

Monitor program data, develop and implement program improvement initiatives.

BENEFITS
(For a Full-Time Position)

VACATION: Generally accrue 10 hours per month for employees with up to ten years of creditable service.  

SICK LEAVE:  Generally accrue 10 hours per month.

FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE:  After 12 months or 1250 hours of employment, 12 weeks of unpaid leave is available for employees as laid out in the policy.

ORGAN/BONE MARROW DONATION LEAVE:  5 workdays given for bone marrow donation and 30 workdays given for organ donation. 

SCHOOL-VISIT LEAVE:  Up to 8 hours of paid leave for assisting in the classroom with curricular activities or visiting with child’s teacher on curricular activities and other events as outlined in the policy.

HOLIDAYS:  12 holidays per year.

RETIREMENT:  Vested after five years of creditable service.

LIFE INSURANCE:  Free basic life insurance coverage equal to one-times the employee's annual salary.  The minimum coverage amount will remain $15,000.

OPTIONAL LIFE INSURANCE:  Employee may purchase up to 6 times their annual salary.  Spouse and children life insurance coverage is available.

CAFETERIA PLAN:  Easy tax savings on employee’s cost for qualified payroll-deducted insurance plans, medical care, and dependent care.

HEALTH PLANS:  Employer-paid/subsidized plans available the first of the following month after employment.

DENTAL PLANS:  Delta Dental insurance coverage is available.

VISION PLAN:  Vision Service Plan (VSP) is available. 

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:  Up to six counseling visits per episode per family member per year.

DEFERRED COMPENSATION:  Employees may enroll in the State of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan at beginning of employment with a minimum of $25 per month.  After 12 continuous months of employment State service the State will contribute an additional $25 per month to eligible employees.
