Regional Training
Regional training opportunities are available to anyone interested in attending.  Current Afterschool grant recipients must attend at least one of these training sessions to fulfill grant training requirements.

Regional Training Schedule (January - June 2007)

State Training
The following two statewide conferences are available to anyone interested in attending.  However, current Afterschool grant recipients must select one of these two conferences to attend to fulfill grant training requirements.

MOSAC2 Conference (Missouri School Age Community Coalition)
This conference is held during the middle of October each year.  The conference location site rotates between Kansas city and St. Louis.  All SAC an 21st CCLC grantees may become members and attend the conference.  The conference is geared toward all levels of Afterschool programming and staff.  Visit www.mosac2.org for additional information or membership.

MAACCE Conference (Missouri Association for Adult Continuing and Community Education)
This conference is held during the middle of June each year.  The conference is held in the Lake of the Ozarks area (usually, either Tan-Tar-A or Lodge of Four Seasons).  All SAC and 21st CLC grantees may become members and attend the conference.  This organization has four categories to select from:

  • Adult Education
  • Higher Education
  • Department of Corrections, and
  • Community Education (Afterschool programs fall under the Community Education category)

This conference is geared toward all four of these categories and their respective audiences.  Visit www.maacce.org for additional information or membership.

National Training
The national training/conferences listed below are available to anyone interested in attending.  However, current 21st Century Community Learning Center grant recipients must attend one Afterschool-related national conference to fulfill grant training requirements.  Prior DESE approval is required.  Other conferences not on this list may be considered.

If you are seeking a list of additional trainings available statewide or nationally, please visit the Related Links button to the right to search other organizations that may offer training.
