Take the Test on Computer

Missouri is piloting the GED Test on computer.  Note:  THE GED TEST IS NOT AVAILABLE ON LINE.  The official test can only be taken at an authorized site.  Paper/Pencil Test:  Remember the Paper/ Pencil test will continue to be available at a total cost of $40.00. Taking the test on computer is at your option.  Computer Based Testing Sites are at the following authorized locations:

Cost:  $28.00 per test   $140.00 for the test battery.

Advantages

If you are a re-tester; you were not successful on one part of the GED Test.  A single computer based test is only $28.00 instead of a total of $40.00 for the paper-pencil re-test.

Results are available within 15 minutes after testing; except for Language Arts Writing.  Language Arts writing may take 2-3 days for results.

Minimal keyboarding skills are required.  Many examinees prefer keyboarding over handwriting.

You can test at various times of the day, including after work.  Some sites are open at least two days a week until 8:00 p.m..
