Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
Guidelines
Registered Professional Nurse
Hold a current Certified Medication Technician Teaching Certificate from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
To obtain a teaching certificate, send the following to: Emily Harper at DESE:
- Cover letter indicating you are requesting the teaching certificate for CMT
- Resume' (indicating education and two years work experience in the past 10 years)
- Copy of nursing license
- Copy of CMT teaching course completion certificate
- Complete an instructor/examiner course
- Be sponsored by a sponsoring education agency (area career education school, Comprehensive high school, community college, or four year institution)
