Formative Assessment Lesson Seven

 

 Instruct student pairs to go back and revise their sequencing strips using the transitional words and phrases to help them clarify the meaning of the story.

 

 

Assessment

 

Have students write about a time when they were hurt.  This writing must include at least three sensory details and three transitional words or phrases to connect three or more events.

 

Scoring :  6 points:  for addressing the prompt and including 3 sensory details and

                                 3 transitional words or phrases

      (deduct 1 point for each missing sensory detail/transitional word or phrase)
