Have students write about a time when they were hurt. This writing must include at least three sensory details and three transitional words or phrases to connect three or more events.
Scoring : 6 points: for addressing the prompt and including 3 sensory details and 3 transitional words or phrases (deduct 1 point for each missing sensory detail/transitional word or phrase)
