Lesson Eight Formative Assessment Prompt

You are a production specialist for Stuff Is Us, Incorporated.  Currently at your company there is a suggestion going around that you should work four ten-hour days each week instead of the current five eight-hour days each week. You are to write two memos addressing this suggestion; one should be written from the point of view of a mother with two children, and the other should be written from the point of view of a single young man. You may decide how each feels about the suggestion of four ten-hour days, but you must support that with appropriate details. Make certain that your point of view is clear to the reader. Use the checklist below by placing a checkmark or “x” beside each of the criterion that is present in each of your memos as a scoring guide.
