LEARNING ACTIVITIES

Performance Event

Our unit has been about friendship. Examine two pictures of pieces of artwork. What is the viewpoint depicted in each picture? Write an essay that identifies and explains the viewpoint of each piece of media. Before writing your essay, create a pre-writing graphic organizer to organize your ideas. Use the ideas from the organizer to write a first draft paper. Use a dictionary and the provided checklist to proofread your first draft. Make changes that are needed to make your essay clear to your audience; then, write the final draft of the essay. The State Scoring guide is used to assess the essay.
