Lesson One Formative Assessment Prompt

On a piece of your own notebook paper, write a friendly letter to your teacher explaining what famous American woman you would like to know more about and why. Be sure to use proper friendly letter format and a greeting/salutation and closing appropriate for your audience. Use at least one compound sentence in your letter, and when revising and proofreading your writing, be certain to eliminate any sentence fragments.
