On March 10, 2007, I bought a flashlight at your store.

I am disappointed because your product has not performed as it should because the switch does not work correctly.

To resolve the problem I would appreciate a refund.  Enclosed is a copy of the receipt.

I look forward to hearing from you and to a resolution of this problem. I will wait for two weeks before seeking help the Better Business Bureau. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at 555-1000.

Re: Cleaning Service

Dear Mr. Doe:

On March 10, 2007, I was provided with house cleaning at my home at 300 Maple Street by a cleaning crew from your company.

I am disappointed because the service provided was unsatisfactory.  The cleaning crew did not clean the entire house. This is in breach of our contract as laid down by the law.

To resolve the problem I require you to have the cleaning service performed again whilst reserving my right to claim against you. Enclosed is a copy of the cleaning contract.

I look forward to hearing from you and to a resolution of this problem. I will wait for two weeks before arranging for the matter to be corrected by a third party at your cost or seeking help from the Better Business Bureau. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at 555-1000.
