Performance Assessments: This Performance Task will take place over two or  three 50-minute sessions.

Presenting The Information:

        

     The time has come to present your information to the President. Before we can see the President we must make our presentation.  Since the President does not have a lot of time, you will need to choose just one of the three key words or categories you have researched.  You should re-read all of your journal entries and then choose one area to use in creating your presentation.

 

The presentation will have two parts.  First you will need to fold your 12 X 17 paper into thirds.  Place a title for each section - the past, the present and the future.  Now pick one item and draw what it was like in the past, what it is like now in the present, and how you think it will look in the future. 

 

After you have finished the illustrations, you are ready for part two.  Under each illustration, write a paragraph about each item using the information you found in the text.  Be sure that your paragraph has a main idea and supporting details which describe the key word and tell how and why it has changed.

    

Since we collected our information from non-fiction text, you must display the author and title of your resources.
