Families searching for a great vacation spot are in luck. Right in Missouri is Crystal Lake, the Clear Choice for Family Fun. Recently, the travel channel featured the following conversation between Crystal Lake’s Mayor Hernandez and travel specialist Ms. Jane Rove.

“Mayor Hernandez,” said Ms. Rove, “why should people want to visit the town of Crystal Lake?”

“Well, Jane” replied the mayor, “We offer fabulous fun for families here. Sports fans may enjoy golf at one of many local courses or watch our basketball team the Crystal Lakers. Baseball fans can watch the Royal Cardinals playing at Crystal Lake High School.”

“I’m sure that sports appeal to many visitors,” Ms. Rove remarked. “However, this community has attractions for everyone. The Crystal Lake Museum of Modern Art is one of the finest I’ve ever seen. And stores like Amy’s Antiques, Puffins Bakery or the Crystal Lake Glassworks are magnets for shoppers.”

“Oh yes, visitors only need to stroll down our sidewalks to find others attractions. The aroma of freshly baked cookies, the rocking notes of guitars from our local music stores and clubs, the historic stone buildings that line our town’s streets - all of these appeal to our visitors,” agreed Mr. Hernandez. “We also have outstanding restaurants with Italian, Mexican and Chinese food as well as American fare.”

“And then, of course, the lake calls like a siren, doesn’t it?” Ms. Rove asked. “Oh yes,” the mayor agreed, “boating, swimming and fishing are the main reasons visitors come here. We even have a children’s beach that offers safe swimming and sand castle classes for the youngsters. The buzz of motors, the splash of cool water and the chirp of birds in the lakeside forest form the background music for our town.”
