Message from DESE : This
information was originally created as a print document. After it was created and
given to DESE to disseminate, it was discovered the cost of printing and mailing
was prohibitive. In an effort to disseminate the information. the document has
been translated into HTML and PDF pages. In the original print format, there
were several pages inserted (i.e. ALA, AASL, and DESE documents). It was not
possible to "insert" those pages in the process of converting the file
to pdf. I have included links to the appropriate Internet pages in the chapters
having "insert" messages or place holder pages.
Once you access the pdf. pages, you may search
for specific information using the "find" command and print all or
selected pages. I hope this information is useful to you in your professional
life.
Library Media and Technology Consultant,
Department of Elementary & Secondary Education
