  1. Evaluations are the responsibility of the building principal, but should be done by, or in cooperation with, the library media specialist or library media coordinator, whichever is appropriate.

  2. Library clerks and managers new to the position will be evaluated annually for two years, then every other year thereafter. Both part-time and full-time employees must be evaluated. The Library Media Coordinator will be responsible for notifying the principals when an evaluation is scheduled for that year.

  3. A performance evaluation conference is recommended prior to the completion of the evaluation process. This conference should include a discussion of identified strengths and areas of concern.

  4. The original copy of the evaluation will be given to the clerk or library media manager and copies to the principal and library media coordinator by May 1.
