Welcome back or welcome to you. This is the first of many emails you will receive from me this year. I try to send the important information via email. I have been asked to then archive the information on the website, which I will do. You may find the archives at http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/curriculum/lmcindex.htm  under the Bulletin Board.

1. Please send me the names and emails of any new people you know about OR anyone you know retired OR moved. I will update the database.

2. Materials for 2007 Summer Reading programs have been ordered for all schools in the state. I will let you know when they are sent to your building so you can watch for them. It will be several months.

3. 2006 Summer Reading programs

Anyone who had a summer reading program is strongly encouraged to report the results (number of students, activities, etc.) to Nancee Dahms-Stinson at the State Library. Nancee and I partnered to get school libraries involved in the summer reading program and she is collecting data. Her email is nancee.dahms-stinson@sos.mo.gov  Ask her for the "evaluation" to complete and then return it to her. This information will be used to continue, expand, or discontinue the purchase of materials for school summer reading programs.
