The Readers Award Task Force is currently soliciting suggestions
for names for our new children’s choice award for 6th-8th grade students.
To participate,
1. Poll your 6th-8th grade students for suggestions of a name for a Missouri
reader award for these upper grades. The suggestions must have a Missouri
connection.
2. Ask the students to vote on their favorite from the list submitted.
3. Submit the final/top name to your MASL Region Chair by December 1.
4. The Region Chairs will tally all names submitted and narrow down to the
one with the most recommendations.
5. The Region Chairs will submit the final selection to the Task Force Chair
by December 15. All submissions must include the name of the region chair
and their region.
6. The membership will then have the opportunity to vote on the final name
for the new award.
This voting will be done online at our MASL website sometime in February
or March. The exact dates will be sent out sometime toward the end of
January.
