SUBJECT: Title I Status for Schools Identified in Improvement

On August 4, 2011, a preliminary list of schools identified for improvement was released to the public. Each school identified for improvement is given the opportunity to review its academic achievement data and provide supporting evidence of data believed to be in error. The deadline to appeal the data is September 2, 2011.
For Title I schools identified for improvement, the Title I status is based on the “SERVED” status selected on Step 2 of the Title I Breakdown of Allocations (BOA). In mid-July, Steps 1 and 2 of the BOA were locked. At this time, we are providing an opportunity to review the Title I status for buildings in your district and to make a change in the status. If the information on Step 2 is not correct, your district should email Pat.Kaiser@dese.mo.gov requesting that the BOA be unlocked for changes. The deadline for this request is September 9, 2011.
