SUBJECT:  Federal Programs’ Conference May 1-3, 2011 – Registration Open

Registration information is now available at  http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/ for the Federal Programs’ Conference on May 1-3, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center, 2200 I-70 Drive SW, Columbia, MO.  Federal programs’ leaders and school administrators are encouraged to attend.  Many topics of interest will be covered, including school and district improvement, monitoring, Core Data, highly qualified teachers and finance.  We will also offer live ePeGS application and ePeGS plan technical assistance as working sessions.  You will need a laptop, your password and user id for ePeGS and any needed numbers (enrollment numbers, Free and Reduced lunch count, number of students served in each Title program, etc.) to complete your NCLB Consolidated application with the assistance of Federal Compliance staff.

Please print out the agenda below and select the sessions you wish to attend before you start the online registration process.  Session descriptions will only be available in the conference agenda and will not be on the registration site.  The registration will be handled by Custom Meeting Planners in Columbia.

Hotel Reservations:

Call the Holiday Inn Executive Center at 1-800-HOLIDAY (465-4329). Indicate you will be going to the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia, MO, group code DFP. Rooms are blocked for April 30 through May 2, 2011 at the group rate of $86 per night. The deadline for making hotel reservations is April 1, 2011

Conference attendees will be provided jump drives which have been preloaded with conference handouts.  Attendees wishing to access handouts during the conference should bring their fully charged laptops with them to their conference sessions.  If you prefer paper, handouts will be made available by April 22, 2011 on the Federal Programs’ website at http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/.  Districts can print the presentations they want to bring with them to the conference.
