SUBJECT: NCLB Consolidated Application Workshops

The Federal Compliance Section along with the Federal Instructional Improvement Section will be hosting several Technical Assistance Workshops around the state. The objective of these workshops is to provide assistance and guidance about the NCLB Budget and required Plans. The LEAs will have the opportunity to input budget information into the NCLB consolidated application with Federal Compliance Supervisors on site to help. It is important LEAs bring information to confirm Membership and Free and Reduced lunch counts on Step 1 of the BOA as well as budget amounts, FTEs and student counts. LEAs may bring several people to assist in entering the budget information; however, there will only be one computer available per LEA so we can accommodate as many LEA’s as possible.

There will be a presentation at the start of the workshop and then LEAs will be invited to work on their application online. Federal Compliance Supervisors will be there to assist anyone with questions about the application. We will have an electronic copy of the PowerPoint we are going to use for the workshop available no later than May 18 at http://dese.mo.gov/divimprove/fedprog/. Paper copies of the PowerPoint will not be available the day of the workshop. Please confirm which workshop you plan on attending by submitting an email to webreplyfgm@dese.mo.gov no later than Monday, May 21, 2012.
