SUBJECT: MANDATORY MEETING FOR TITLE I.C MIGRANT AND TITLE III LEP OR IMMIGRANT RECIPIENTS
TO: Districts Receiving Migrant or Title III Funds
FROM: Craig Rector, Director, Federal Discretionary Grants
DATE: September 11, 2009
This notification updates the location of the Springfield workshop previously announced on the Fed Pro listserv.
In the past year, Missouri’s Title III and Migrant programs have been monitored by representatives of the US Department of Education’s Office of Migrant Education and the Title III office. In response to those visits and other program needs, DESE will offer a series of meetings designed to clarify the current program requirements and outline upcoming program changes.
As a condition of receiving funds from the Title I Part C and the Title III programs, participating district personnel must attend one of the upcoming meetings. Please make sure your district’s representatives sign the on-site sign-in sheet. Your district will not receive 2010-2011 grant funds unless a representative has attended one of these meetings.
