Intervention Courses for Children with Vision Impairment and Their Families

Date: January 9, 2006
Two courses in early intervention for children with vision impairment and
their families will be offered by the Missouri School for the Blind through
Project VIISA (Vision Impaired In-Service in America).
Applications are now being accepted for Course I, with a registration
deadline of January 20, 2006.
Course I: Early Intervention for Infants and Toddlers (birth-3 years) and
Their Families covers topics related to the unique needs of infants and
toddlers who are vision impaired, including: visual development, visual
impairment, and orientation and mobility (O&M). The course combines
self-studies, homework assignments, and two face-to-face sessions with
course instructors. Course is free of charge.
