Subject: Transition from First Steps to ECSE Workshop

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the First Steps Consultants in coordination with the RPDC Special Education Consultants invite you to attend an informational meeting to discuss First Steps Transition into ECSE.  Topics to be covered include:

• Transition as part of the IFSP

• Steps to a successful Transition

• Preparing for Transition

• Comparison of First Steps and ECSE

• Preparing the family

• Working with the school districts

• IEP process

The informational meetings will be held in multiple locations around the state.  We strongly encourage you to attend the Workshop within your region or district, but you may choose the time and location most convenient for you.  If you have questions, please contact the First Steps Consultant for your region. 

Seating is limited.  To reserve a seat, please e-mail the First Steps Consultant hosting the workshop you would like to attend prior to the meeting date.  To alleviate parking problems, carpooling is recommended.
