I am pleased to announce that Theresa Villmer has accepted the position of Assistant Director of the Compliance Section/Part C and will begin her new duties on August 21.  Some of you may remember that Theresa worked for the Division of Special Education in the Early Childhood Special Education Section prior to becoming a supervisor in the Federal Programs/ Early Childhood Section of the Division of School Improvement. While in that position, Theresa has worked closely with Parents as Teachers programs throughout the state, provided leadership in administration of  Missouri Preschool Grants, assumed substantial responsibilities for coordination of the Conference on the Young Years, to name just a few examples.  Theresa's experience in both Divisions, as well as her prior experience in management of a child development center will serve her well in her new duties as Assistant Director back in the Division of Special Education!
