The 2008 Missouri Deaf Educators' Conference will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, Missouri on Friday evening and Saturday, April 25 and 26, 2008.  The theme for this year's conference is "Language Development and Literacy." 

Keynote speakers include Dr. Larry Siegel - National Deaf Education Project, Dr. John Heskett - MO Department of Mental Health, and Dr. Gina Oliver - Gallaudet University.  Breakout sessions offer opportunities on a full spectrum of services for this specialized population. 

Mark the dates on your calendar for attendance - participation will be limited and on a "first come, first served" basis.  Last year's participants and school districts currently serving students who are deaf/hard of hearing will receive mailings on the conference shortly.  Information and registration forms are also available on the Missouri School for the Deaf's website: http://www.msd.k12.mo.us/.
