Children with Vision Impairment and Their Families

Date: September 21, 2006
Two courses in early intervention for children with vision impairment and
their families will be offered in St. Louis by the Missouri School for the
Blind through Project VIISA (Vision Impaired In-Service in America).
Applications are now being accepted for Course II, with a registration
deadline of October 16, 2006.
Course II: Serving Preschoolers (3-5) with Vision Impairment in Center-based
Settings covers topics related to the unique needs of preschoolers who are
vision impaired, including: literacy issues and orientation and mobility
(O&M). The course combines self-studies, homework assignments, and two
face-to-face sessions with course instructors. Course is free of charge.
