Use of Funds/ Early Intervening Services (EIS), 8-18-2008
The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) has provided a guidance document on CEIS. We encourage districts to read it, as there are many requirements that must be complied with for the use of these funds and many scenarios that you must be familiar with to ensure your use of these monies is permitted.
New! Special Education Monitoring Training, 8-5-08
**This training is by invitation only.**
This is a required training for districts going through the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP) in the 2009-2010 school year and selected Charter Schools.
New! Special Education Improvment Planning Training,
8-5-2008
This training is designed to assist the public agencies in developing an Improvement Plan (IP). The IP will be required for agencies in their special education monitoring self-assessment year and districts intending to submit an improvement grant application to DESE.

Assurance Statements, 4-29-08
Agencies that open a Part B budget for the 2008-2009 school year will need to agree to a set of Core Assurances that are part of the new Electronic Planning and Electronic Grants System (ePeGS) when they submit their applications which are due June 15, 2008.
Local Model Compliance Plan, 2-15-08
All responsible public agencies are required adopt a Local Compliance Plan for Special Education due July 1, 2008.
