Subject:  WebSPOE Training and Registration
Source:  Katherine Numerick, Director, Effective Practices
Intended Audience:  All Service Coordinators and SPOE Staff
Date:  May 27, 2005

The long-awaited webSPOE system will be implemented on https://www.mofirststeps.com/ during summer 2005.

This system places the referral, evaluation, and ongoing IFSP process online and replaces the current system of forwarding documentation to the SPOEs to be entered into SPOE software.  The current SPOE software will be phased out and cease to exist in fall 2006.

Training on the webSPOE will be held regionally, and webSPOE will go "live" in each SPOE region immediately after training is completed in that region.

Service Coordinators must be trained in order to access webSPOE.  Failure to be trained means Service Coordinators will not be able to receive any new children.  Face-to-face training for service providers will not be offered for this portion of mofirststeps.com.  Extensive information and help will be available online.

Training dates and registration information can be found at https://www.mofirststeps.com/ui/pdfs/MOFSTrainingRegistration.pdf.  Independent Service Coordinators working in more than one SPOE region only need to attend training in one region.
