The Southwest Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) is hosting a statewide Response to Intervention (RtI) Summit in Springfield, Missouri on June 15-16, 2009.
The summit will feature presentations from the national perspective about what RtI is and is not, it's alignment with other initiatives, as well as the state's perspective about where we are in terms of three-tiered models of intervention. Schools currently implementing RtI will be showcased along with discussion about resources to assist districts in exploring initial steps to implementation.
The planning for this summit was a collaborative effort between the Southwest RPDC, School Improvement, Career Education, and Special Education divisions of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, North Central Regional Resource Center, National RtI Center, Mid-Continent Comprehensive Center, and Midwest Equity Assistance Center.
