Subject: REMINDER Allowable Reasons for Part B and ECSE ARRA FER Revisions

As a reminder, one of the fiscal changes related to federal grants is extending the due date of the FERs to September 30, 2011. Because the Division is allowing LEAs more time to close out the 2010-11 school year and submit the FY11 Part B and ECSE ARRA FERs, there will be no FY11 Part B or ECSE ARRA FER revisions allowed unless there is an audit/monitoring finding or an error in the ePeGs system that directly affects the FERs.
The FY11 Part B and ECSE ARRA FERs should include obligations/expenditures from July 1, 2010, through September 30, 2011. Please remember that Part B ARRA and ECSE ARRA funds must be expended by September 30, 2011, and cannot be budgeted in the 2011-12 school year. Remaining REGULAR Part B funds from the FY11 grant may be carried over and expended in 2011-12.
