Initial Student Services Certification
You need to contact the recommending official at the college/university where you completed your program. The institution must recommend you for certification by submitting the Initial Application for Student Services Certificate of License to Teach (pdf) and official transcripts.
If you currently hold a valid Missouri teaching certification you DO NOT need to submit fingerprints for the background check. If not, you need to request a background check packet from our office. Once we receive the results of your background check, we will issue a certificate based on the recommendation of your college/university.
