Renewal of Student Services Certificate
You need to complete the remaining hours within the next 2 years; you are still required to complete the 15 hours required during each of those years. You may count the excess hours as make up hours.
A student services certificate of license to teach becomes inactive if the individual does not make up the requisite hours within 2 years.
A student services certificate of license to teach may be reactivated by the individual completing twenty-four (24) contact hours of professional development within 6 months prior to or after the reactivation of the certificate. Failure of the individual to complete the 24 contact hours within 6 months will result in the certificate becoming inactive.
NOTE: One (1) contact hours of pJuly 18, 2008professional development or one (1) hours of college credit equals at least fifteen (15) contact hours of professional development.
