Meet Will Dougherty III, Missouri's recipient of the 2007 National Award for Outstanding Achievement on the Tests of General Eduational Development (GED Tests). Will had a score of 3980, just 20 points short of the total possible score of 4000.
Will is currently attending Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff where he is majoring in Business Management.

"Passing the GED can mean getting into college, getting a job, or getting into the military. It's high stakes; and if you can't pass the test, people are tempted to go other routes and spend a lot of money on something that really is of no value to them," says Mr. Bill Poteet.
