Missouri School for the Deaf Library Renamed in Honor of Former State Board of Education Member
The State Board of Education named the library at the Missouri School for the Deaf (Fulton) in honor of the late Rev. Raymond F. McCallister Jr. The dedication ceremony was held Jan. 26 at the school.
Rev. McCallister was a member of the State Board of Education from 1986 to 1994. A long-time community leader in Fulton, he was pastor of the First Christian Church of Fulton for 37 years. He was a former member of the Fulton Board of Education and president of the Missouri School Boards Association (1983-84).
