Alert: “Perkins IV” Hearing at Macon is Postponed
The public hearing scheduled for tomorrow morning (Jan. 31) at the Macon Area Vocational School has been postponed due to winter storm advisories for the region.
The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 9 to 11 a.m. It will be held at the Macon Area Vocational School, 702 N. Missouri St.
This week, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Division of Career Education is conducting 5 public hearings across the state to discuss the proposed five-year state plan for career and technical education, which is required under federal law (“Perkins IV”).
