The National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) will be holding their annual conference on November 5-8, 2011 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

The conference will provide research-based and best practice professional development opportunities, which focus on ensuring that every child and youth experiencing homelessness is successful – academically, socially, and personally. Presentation themes include: accelerating student achievement, program planning and development, early childhood education, youth, child welfare, federal education programs, evaluation and research, legislative and policy issues.

NAEHCY is currently accepting proposals to present.  The deadline for submission is June 10, 2011.  They are looking for speakers who are interested in sharing their stories, talking openly about the issue of homelessness, and inspiring others to be active in addressing issues related to homelessness.   Please consider submitting a proposal and encouraging your colleagues, to submit proposals.
