Subject: Missouri’s 2012 Needs Assessment for McKinney-Vento

The Department of Elementary and Secondary’s Homeless Children and Youth Program is currently compiling information which will be used to help set priorities for Missouri’s McKinney-Vento Homeless Program. To accomplish this goal, we are requesting your assistance in completing a needs assessment survey by Friday, April 6 , 2012. Your answers will help us better understand the needs associated with homeless education in Missouri. The survey results will help us identify what areas of the McKinney-Vento Act need to be discussed more in-depth and will help determine what state level professional development we will be providing in the upcoming school year. We would like input from both LEAS and Service Providers.
Answers to this survey are confidential. Your answers or nonparticipation will not affect any services you receive currently or your future access to services.
