SUBJECT: KC Regional McKinney-Vento Liaison/Coordinators Meeting

The next KC Regional McKinney-Vento Liaison meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 16, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This meeting is being held at the Fort Osage School District’s Central Office located at 2101 N. Twyman Road, Independence, Missouri.
The Central Office is the first building on the right after the guard shack. If you need additional location information please call 816-650-7000. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. During the meeting, we will be reviewing McKinney-Vento law, guidance and sharing best practices with attendees. This is an open meeting for anyone who works with homeless students or would like to learn more about the McKinney-Vento program so, please share this information with your local service providers.
Interested attendees should RSVP to Tawanda Edwards tawanda.edwards@dese.mo.gov by Friday, January 11th. When you RSVP, please send us any questions you may have about the McKinney-Vento and Homeless Children and Youth program. We will research your questions and add them to the agenda for our meeting.
