- HB1311 - Autism Spectrum Disorders
Establishes provisions regarding health insurance coverage for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and the licensure of applied behavior analysts.
Status: Approved by the Governor. - HB1516 - Repeal of expired statutes.
Repeals various expired provisions in the Revised Statutes of Missouri as identified in the January 2010 Annual Report of the Joint Committee on Legislative Research on Laws Which Expire, Sunset, Terminate, or Become Ineffective.
Status: Approved by the Governor. - HB1543 - Education (Section by Section Summary)
Changes the laws regarding discipline policies and reporting requirements; cyberbullying; student dress code; teacher removal hearings in the St. Louis City School District; administration of medication or medical services; Career Ladder Program; Parents as Teachers Program; MSIP Resource Standards; drug testing for contractors; and categorical funds . Emergency Clause.
Status: Approved by the Governor.
- HB1831 - Surplus Property (Veto Letter)
Allows school districts, after 10 years, to sell as surplus any real property that has been donated to it if the donor refuses the district's offer to return it.
Status: Vetoed by the Governor. - HB1858 - Minority Teaching Scholarship
Transfers the administrative responsibility for the Minority Teaching Scholarship and the Minority and Underrepresented Environmental Literacy Program to the Department of Higher Education
Status: Approved by the Governor.
- HB1892 - Student Work Certificates
Authorizes certain specified individuals in addition to the school superintendent to issue a student work certificate.
Status: Approved by the Governor. - HB1903 - Race to the Top Fund (Veto Letter)
Creates the Federal Budget Stabilization Extension Fund and the Race to the Top Fund to receive moneys from any legislation enacted by the 111th United States Congress.
Status: Vetoed by the Governor.
- HB2147 - A+ Schools Program
Exempts certain students who are dependents of recently retired military personnel from the three-year attendance requirement under the A+ Schools Program.
Status: Approved by the Governor. - SB583 - Regulation of Insurance Programs
Modifies various provisions relating to the regulation of insurance. Requires school districts to dissemate information regarding the eligiblity criteria and application procedures for obtaining health insurance coverage through the State Children's Health Insurance Program to parents at the time of enrollment.
Status: Approved the Governor. - SB844 - Ethics
This bill contains numerous provisions related to conflict of interest, campaign finance, candidate disqualifications, late fees, and Missouri Ethics Commission (MEC) investigations and enforcement.
Status: Approved by the Governor.
