Specialist Position
Missouri State University is seeking applicants for the position of Blindness Skills Specialist. This individual provides professional development to school districts on topics related to visual impairment and provides information and training to parents of children identified with blindness or low vision (BLV).
Special Education New Director Academy, Summer 2013
The Office of Special Education will again be hosting a New Director of Special Education Academy July 24, 25, and 26, 2013, in Jefferson City. The academy will focus on core activities new directors must complete during their initial months of employment.

The State Performance Plan (SPP), required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), includes an indicator that requires data collection on early childhood outcomes (ECO).
May FY13 Payment for High Need Fund (HNF)
The remaining payment for the High Need Fund (HNF) will be made in the May school payment. The payment will include both state and federal funding.
