The High Need Fund application is due January 31, 2011, for services provided during the 2009-10 school year.  The application and Current Expenditure per ADA amounts are posted on the Special Education Finance webpage at  The application must be emailed to by January 31 to be eligible.  Districts will be sent a confirmation receipt.  Please keep the email confirmation for your records. 

The High Need Fund provides reimbursement for districts serving any student with a disability whose educational costs exceed three times the district's Current Expenditure per ADA amount as calculated on the FY 10 Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR).  This is an OPTIONAL application.  If you have any questions, please contact the Special Education Finance Section at (573) 751-0622 or by email at
