The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is offering partial scholarships to qualified graduate students entering Missouri State University's Communication Sciences and Disorders Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing master's program in fall 2010.
The program has approval from the Council on Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. DESE and Missouri State are committed to filling the demand for qualified teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing through this scholarship opportunity.
This is a wonderful scholarship opportunity for individuals who would like to consider a career as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Missouri State University offers a master's degree in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (EDHH). Teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing have found their careers to be extremely rewarding and a way to make a difference in the lives of others.
The university also offers tuition reduction for qualified out-of-state graduate students. The Missouri Outreach Graduate Opportunity (MOGO) Scholarship provides a partial remission of out-of-state fees for full-time graduate students who are not Missouri residents. This scholarship is available to qualified students admitted into the EDHH graduate program.
The program will consider students completing their junior year for the specialized accelerated master's degree program.
