Date: April 13, 2010
The awareness level Response to Intervention (RtI) training hosted by the Central Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) in Warrensburg originally scheduled for May 24-25, 2010, has been rescheduled for September 30-October 1, 2010.
Another awareness level RtI training will be hosted by the Northwest/Northeast Regional Professional Development Centers in Kirksville on August 9-10, 2010.
The registration cost for each training is $125 which includes breakfast, lunch, and materials for both days.
The training will feature presentations from the national perspective about what RtI is and is not, its alignment with other initiatives, as well as the state's perspective about where we are in terms of three-tiered models of intervention. Schools currently implementing RtI will be showcased along with discussion about resources to assist districts in exploring initial steps to implementation.
Planning for this training was a joint effort among the Regional Professional Development Centers, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the North Central Regional Resource Center, the National Center on RtI, and the Mid-Continent Comprehensive Center.
