Salary expenditures incurred during the school year that are paid from federal funds over a 12 month period must comply with federal Cash Management Improvement Act (CMIA) requirements. The Department has issued guidance for recording, requesting, and delivering the funds in compliance with these requirements for all federal grants, which is available at http://dese.mo.gov/divspeced/Finance/documents/CMIASalaries.pdf.
