Intended Audience: Special education directors and school administrators who use educational interpreters and educational interpreters

We are again funding scholarships to attend the upcoming Educational Interpreter training.  The three-week training will include room and board and is scheduled for June 13 to July 2.  The training is limited to 30 participants.  There will be no charge to the participants.

The training is an intensive skill development training program focused on receptive and expressive sign language abilities.  The goal of this program is to enhance interpreter skill levels to an intermediate level of proficiency.  The "Rural Educational Interpreters Skill Enhancement Training" will be held at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri.

The Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH) will be accepting applications for this program through May 15, 2010.
