A letter was sent by electronic mail to all superintendents, informing them of the revised Local Compliance Plan posted on our website at http://dese.mo.gov/se/compliance/MCPindex.html.
Attached to that letter were instructions for adopting/adapting the Local Compliance Plan and for completing the Certification Statement concerning this Plan.
This certification needs to be completed, including signatures of authorized representatives of the local agency, and returned to our office by no later than October 1, 2010. The Local Plan in its entirety as well as the letter, instructions and certification statement may all be found at the previously mentioned website.
Recent changes to Federal and State Regulations have been incorporated into this Local Compliance Plan. We recommend a thorough review of its contents and careful consideration of the agency's responsibilities in serving students with disabilities.
