As a result of the most recent U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) monitoring review, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, is required to restructure fees and services for programs provided through Community Rehabilitation Programs
(CRP) and Supported Employment Service Providers (SESP) to place a greater emphasis on employment outcomes. This will impact transition age students in that effective August 1, 2010, VR will no longer be authorizing/contracting with local rehabilitation providers for Comprehensive Transition Assessment Services for students with disabilities.
MDVR will continue to serve transition age youth, however, will do so through existing and re-designed services rather than a stand-alone service.
