Subject: MAP/Release Schedule for 2009-10 MAP Data

Source: Pam Williams, Coordinator of Services

Intended Audience: Special Education Director's, Special Education Contacts and Special Education Teachers

Date: July 23, 2010

The following message has been sent to all School Administrators by Leigh Ann Grant-Engle, Assistant Commissioner, Office of Data System Management, and we wanted to be sure you saw this, too:

Here is the timeline for the release of preliminary Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) data.  Note: Schools will have the data one week in advance of public release.

* Friday, July 23 - SCHOOL DISTRICTS have access to data (review and prepare - internal use only until July 30)

* Wednesday, July 28 - MEDIA has access to data (draft news stories, conduct interviews - not for public release until July 30)

* Friday, July 30 - PUBLIC news releases go out; data is released to the public

Tomorrow, July 22, we will send a separate e-mail to test coordinators, assessment contacts, and MOSIS contacts with more detail about how to access the MAP data and the appeals process.  (The deadline for appeals is September 3, 2010.)  We will also send you a link to the updated version of the Understanding Your AYP document.

On Friday, July 23, the Department will post the assessment results in the secure area of its website and send you an e-mail as soon as it becomes available with instructions to use your secure log-in to access the data.

We hope this helps with your planning and scheduling.  Do not hesitate to contact the Department's Office of Data System Management ( or 573-526-4886) if you have any questions.
