The MO HealthNet Division (MHD) will be expanding the services included in the school based services program. School districts currently seek reimbursement for occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), and speech therapy (ST) identified in a child's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The expansion of school based services will include hearing aid (audiology), personal care, private duty nursing, and psychology/counseling services identified in the child's IEP. This program expansion will allow for the school to receive the federal match portion of the funds allocated for these IEP services.
A School Based Services Bulletin has been posted to the MO HealthNet provider website at http://www.dss.mo.gov/mhd/providers/pages/bulletins.htm. Please refer to this bulletin for program overviews. Future bulletins will be posted to this site regarding enrollment for services and specific program criteria.
