FOR YOUR INFORMATION
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, as a partner in the Comprehensive System Management Team (Missouri Department of Mental Health), is working to promote awareness of Systems of Care (SOC) among all child-serving agencies including public school districts. System of Care is a partnership of family members, state child serving agencies, organizations, and communities with shared responsibility to meet the mental health needs of children, youth, and their families.
The role of the partnership is to:
° advocate for prevention, early intervention, and treatment ° coordinate resources ° resolve issues
Currently, there are fourteen sanctioned System of Care sites in Missouri. Local school districts are encouraged to find out more about Systems of Care by accessing the System of Care web site at http://missouridmh.typepad.com/system_of_care.
