Guidance and instructions for billing no-show visits for providers delivering First Steps services was made available in November 2011.
This guidance includes a requirement to use a paper form when billing for no-show visits as of December 1, 2011. Therefore, all no-show claims must be submitted on the paper form within 60 days of the date of service. Claims submitted after 60 days may not be processed for payment.
Billing a no‐show visit electronically through the Provider Account Management tab in WebSPOE is not allowed effective December 1, 2011.
Please note that in order to ensure that no-show visits are not billed electronically, the Office of Special Education or its agent will be conducting periodic audits of electronic claims and erroneous claims will require refunds to the State.
