The Department has updated the June 2010 version of the Technical Assistance Bulletin "Focus on Issues in Special Education: State & District-wide Assessments of School Achievement" to make the document consistent with guidance from the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) and the Missouri Assessment Program - Alternate (MAP-A). In addition to updates in terminology, the updated guidance clarifies that special education teachers may NOT preview Grade-Level and EOC Assessments. Also added is clearer guidance in regards to requirements for the assessment of students who are homebound and homeschooled. The updated Technical Assistance Bulletin can be found at http://dese.mo.gov/se/compliance/specedtab.htm.
